Director of Advocacy and Policy

Directs the policy and advocacy activities for the Association. Amber is responsible for directing the legislative goals process, developing, implementing, and enacting and/or modifying legislation and appropriate regulations related to the federal and state policies that are advantageous to the 100 North Carolina counties.  She is responsible for maintaining, strengthening, and building key relationships with state and federal policy makers, as well as coordinating NCACC members and external affiliate relationships to drive grassroots advocacy goals to successful outcomes. She directs the work of the advocacy and policy team to coordinate the steering committee process and promote programs and information that builds education about county policy work. Amber has been with the Association since 2015.
